    Bio

Maria holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and has been working with children for over 20 years. She currently teaches second grade at St. Paul’s Episcopal School where she’s been teaching for the past 12 years. Maria has experience teaching children in preschool, kindergarten, first and second grades in both English and Spanish bilingual settings. Maria enjoys creating and implementing curriculum that is tailored to individual learning needs and making sure students feel safe and comfortable in their learning environments. Teaching reading and writing are two of her passions. Maria believes wholeheartedly that all children can be successful with thoughtful support, high expectations, and time spent in focused practice.
