How to Apply

We have limited openings in certain grades for the '20-'21 school year. If you are interested please call the Admissions Office 510-285-9617 or email 

We use an online application platform called Ravenna. To submit an application, families will need to create an account or log in using an existing account. Through Ravenna, you will also be able to register for events and schedule a tour.

Steps to apply:

1. Schedule a virtual visit by completing an online inquiry form.

2. Submit an application through Ravenna. The required components of a complete application are:
  • Application (download hard copy)
  • Teacher Recommendation(s) Form (one required for kindergarten and grades 1-8. Second is optional)
  • Transcript (for grades 1-8)
  • Assessment (schedule through Ravenna after submitting your application. We are currently developing our assessment process for our applicants. Protecting student health and safety is a top priority for us. We will notify you as soon as we have more detail about what the assessment process will look like this year.)
  • One-on-One Conversation 
3. More information to come about virtual visits for prospective students applying to grades 6-8.

Admissions Timeline:
For New Families (K-8)
December 1, 2020: Early application deadline (fee $65)
December 1, 2020: Flexible Tuition Application for early application (if applicable) 
January 18, 2021
: Regular application deadline (fee $85)
January 18, 2021: Flexible Tuition Application (if applicable)
March 18, 2021: Notification of admissions decisions
March 25, 2021: Enrollment contracts due for new families

For Current/Alum/Faculty Families applying to Grades K-8
