Lower School Classroom Chronicle

K-2 Physical Education
Guthrie Morgan, K-2 Physical Education teacher

How we move and feel in the world is inextricably linked to our self-image.

For the younger students at St. Paul’s, our goal in teaching physical education is to equip every child with the knowledge of fundamental motor skills, movement concepts, and components of physical fitness through as many movement experiences as possible. We help each child learn the important life skill of gauged risk taking to develop physical awareness of their limitations and capabilities through direct experiential learning.

A child who feels like he or she is good at physical education feels good at being themselves.
