Flag Football Fundamentals
Shay Williams, Physical Education Grades 3-5

Each year, as part of our physical education program, students participate in a dynamic flag football unit that builds skills, teamwork, and confidence through play. Students actively engaged in small scaled games, applying strategies and skills they have been developing throughout the unit.

During this unit, students learn fundamental football concepts such as passing, catching, movement, and spatial awareness, while also practicing teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. In game settings students transfer these skills into real-time decision-making.
