Jaime Vaillar and Brisa Camacho-Lovell, Middle School Spanish teachers
The Middle School Spanish program’s main goal is to partner with students of all levels to acquire, practice and develop communication skills in all four learning modalities, speaking, writing, listening and reading.
We provide practice opportunities for students to acquire communication skills in and out of the classroom. Students take part in peer to peer communicative activities, small group and teacher/student proficiency assessments.
Music and art play important roles in the Middle School Spanish program. By incorporating contemporary and traditional music genres we engage students and help them experience, discuss and understand the cultural similarities and differences that make up the Spanish speaking world.
