Spiritual growth is an essential component of a St. Paul’s School education, and the School welcomes and celebrates diversity in religions and spiritual beliefs. St. Paul’s students and families include Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, agnostics, atheists, and individual spiritual beliefs. St. Paul’s School's value system is based upon acceptance and respect of individuals, precisely because of difference. Every day the community practices compassion, service, responsibility, and collaboration.

St. Paul’s School's Chaplain/Director of Service Learning guides the spiritual growth and development of the community. Every Friday, the entire School gathers for Chapel. Each grade leads two Chapels per year. The School celebrates the holidays and festivals of the world’s major faith traditions, as well as a variety of moral lessons from world literature and our own practice. The Chaplain visits each classroom on a regular basis to examine different religions, religious issues, and philosophies with the students.
