Over the past fourteen years, St. Paul’s School has received numerous awards and commendations from local and national organizations, including the following:

February 2007: St. Paul's School's sixth graders receive a certificate of recognition from the City of Oakland's Public Work Agency and Keep Oakland Beautiful in appreciation of their work cleaning Lake Merritt on a weekly basis.

September 2006: St. Paul’s School’s students receive a Daily Points of Light Award, honoring their commitment to the community.

April 2006: St. Paul's School receives an 2006 Community Service Recognition Award for Classroom and Community Partnership from the Council for Spiritual and Ethical Education.

May 2004: St. Paul’s School receives an Excellence in Service Learning Program Award, focusing on the issues of hunger and poverty, from the Council on Spiritual and Ethical Education (CSEE).

March 2004: St. Paul’s School is one of only three schools nationwide to receive a National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Leading Edge Award for Community Involvement.

March 2003: St. Paul’s School's playground habitat garden created by the classes of 2007 and 2008 in the prior school year is designated a Schoolyard Habitat by National Wildlife Federation.

April 2002: St. Paul’s School's second grade (2000-2001) garden project coordinated by teacher Kate Foley and Director of Service Learning Love Weinstock is one of 13 projects featured in Pamela Roberts’ Kids Taking Action: Community Service Learning Projects, K-8 published by Northeast Foundation for Children.

April 2002: St. Paul’s School is awarded a Community Service Network Recognition Award from the Council of Spiritual and Ethical Education (CSEE) for “Overall Excellence in creating and sustaining a K-8 environmental program that is integrated into the curriculum.”

June 30, 2000: St. Paul’s School receives the Volunteer Organization of the Year Award from ARC (formerly Association for Retarded Citizens) in the Bay Area.

March 2000: St. Paul’s School is awarded a Community Service Recognition Award from the Council for Spiritual and Ethical Education for “Overall Excellence in creating and sustaining a K-8 Hunger Program that is integrated into the curriculum.”

February 2000: St. Paul’s School's third graders from 1990 through 2000 were selected as Volunteers of the Month by the Lake Merritt Institute for the annual migratory bird census conducted each school year.

March 1999: St. Paul's School's sixth graders are honored as Volunteers of the Month by the Lake Merritt Institute for their efforts to clean the Glen Echo Creek Basin.

March 1999: St. Paul's School is one of 1,000 schools nationwide awarded Target's Outstanding Schools Award for a mission-oriented education and social development program grounded in diversity and featuring academic excellence and community service.

March 1996: St. Paul’s School receives a Certificate of Merit from the Council for Religion in Independent Schools.

January 1992: St. Paul’s School's first and third graders receive a Golden Rule Award from JCPenney for making sandwiches for individuals and families in shelters.

March 1992: St. Paul’s School is one of the first elementary schools to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Council for Religion in Independent Schools (CRIS) for Service Learning.
