St. Paul’s Capital Campaign reaches a record-breaking $3.6 million!
This week, Head of School Karan Merry announced that support for When the Mission Matters: The Campaign for St. Paul’s has reached $3.6 million toward the goal of $4 million.
“We are a school driven by a mandate to do good in the world,” said Ms. Merry. “This investment in our facilities will allow us to better prepare and inspire the students of St. Paul’s to be hopeful, informed and compassionate agents of change.”
The Campaign, which must end June 30, 2008, is used to fund an ambitious, multi-year construction project that will add 12,000 square feet of new space to the School, including the first-ever School gymnasium, a K-1 classroom building, and a transformed Lower School library.
Phase I of the project, completed in 2006, resulted in a dramatically renovated and redesigned Middle School at 262 Grand Avenue. Phase II is scheduled to break ground in the summer of 2008.
“We teach our students to work together for the common good,” said Ms. Merry. “This Campaign is that same principle in action. The hearts and minds of our community have been devoted to achieving the dream of a facility that matches the quality of our educational program.”
