St. Paul's alumna Alexis Jackson is featured in "Yale Bulletin"
Class of 2000 graduate studies deep-sea hydrothermal vents while on board the "R/V Atlantis."
Last December, Yale junior Alexis Jackson had the opportunity to join members of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute on a deep sea study. An ecology and evolutionary biology majory, Jackson previously received a summer fellowship at the Institute. The trip entailed a month at sea aboard the "R/V Atlantis" and a trip deep into the ocean on "Alvin," a three-person submersible used in oceanic research missions, which was also employed in the exploration of the wreck of the "R.M.S. Titanic." For a complete story on Alexis' experience, go to Yale Bulletin.
