Cliff Baker returns to St. Paul’s as Eighth Grade Humanities teacher for his third year. Cliff received his BA from UC-Berkeley, JD from UC-Davis, and multiple-subject and single-subject (Social Studies) credentials from CSU-East Bay. Before teaching, Cliff spent 18 years as a criminal and civil litigator. When not discussing Manifest Destiny or correcting misplaced modifiers, he enjoys parenting, coaching little league, watching A’s games, backpacking, playing bass in the faculty chapel band, and drinking coffee.

Rebecca Carmona, in her second year as Seventh Grade Humanities Teacher has been at St. Paul’s for six years. She holds a BA from California Polytechnic State University and an MA from the University of Colorado-Boulder. She has taught at the University of Colorado, Peralta Community Colleges, and Upward Bound. She enjoys the gym, classic films, gardening, and perfecting her crafts in Cartoneria.

Christine Fairless is in her seventh year at St. Paul’s as Eighth Grade Algebra and Science Teacher. She also teachers a Geometry class for students who qualify. Christine earned her BS in Secondary Math Education from the University of Wyoming at Laramie. Prior to coming to St. Paul’s, she taught math and coached basketball in Laramie, Alameda, and Union City. When she is not teaching or grading papers, she enjoys swimming, drawing, reading, listening to music, and rooting for the Warriors!

Marianne Miller returns for her seventeenth year at St. Paul’s teaching Seventh Grade Math and Science and Middle School Drama. Marianne received her BS in Physics and Theater Arts from Trinity College and an MA from UC-Berkeley in History of Science. Previously, she taught at Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, CT, including one year in London at Morehouse School as a Fulbright Exchange Teacher. Marianne likes to hike, go to the theater and cinema, read, knit, and fence.
