Directions

St. Paul's School is located in the heart of Oakland, California, on the northwest corner of historic Lake Merritt. The campus is easily accessible by BART, ACTransit bus service, bicycle and automobile.

Via BART

Exit at Oakland/19th Street station. Walk north on Broadway to Grand Avenue and turn right, heading East. One block past Harrison is Bay Place. Turn left. The School is located adjacent to St. Paul's Church at the corner of Montecito and Bay Place. Continue down Grand to reach the 262 Grand Avenue building.

Via ACTransit Bus

Take the AC Transit 12 local or N transbay buses which stop in both directions near both buildings.

From San Francisco

Go across the Bay Bridge. At the end of the bridge, follow signs for 580 East, toward Hayward. You will pass exits for 580 west, 80 East, 24 east and 980. Do not follow the signs for downtown Oakland. Exit on Grand Avenue. Turn right on Grand.

• to 116 Montecito: At seventh light, veer right onto Bay Place. Turn right at the stop sign (first cross street) onto Montecito. The School is on the right, adjacent to St. Paul's Church.
• to 262 Grand Avenue: Go through five lights. The School is in the middle of the block on the right side between Lenox and Park View.

From Marin County

Take Hwy. 580 East across the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge. Exit at Grand Avenue. Turn right on Grand.

• to 116 Montecito: At seventh light, veer right onto Bay Place. Turn right at the stop sign (first cross street) onto Montecito. The School is on the right, adjacent to St. Paul's Church.
• to 262 Grand Avenue: Go through five lights. The School is in the middle of the block on the right side between Lenox and Park View.

From the South Bay or Peninsula

Take Hwy. 880 North toward Oakland. Take Hwy. 238 toward Stockton, then Hwy. 580 West toward San Francisco. Exit at Grand Avenue. Turn right on Grand.
